so i suppose it is time for a baby update. this is mostly for my family & friends who live out of state that i don't get to see on a regular basis (you're welcome.)
biggest news is that we're having a....BOY! we actually found out at my 12-week ultrasound but decided to wait until it was confirmed at my 20-week ultrasound before we told anyone. we "announced" on our christmas card this year, which was fun to hear from people when they got their card in the mail.

my last dr's visit was two days after christmas and thanks to all of the junk i ate in the month of december i had gained a whopping 6 pounds since my previous appointment, but it paid off - i finally have a baby bump!
i know. right now you're thinking...wait, how far along are you? if you know what you're having you're already past 20 weeks, and what do you mean you finally have a baby bump? until about a week ago, i still didn't look pregnant. at all. then on christmas eve (21 weeks, 1 day) i had a very itty bitty bump that i couldn't suck back in any more :). however, you couldn't tell unless i had very tight clothes on (or no clothing at all) and the last thing any pregnant woman wants to wear is something tight and uncomfortable. so you still couldn't tell. but this week i have a little bump that finally looks like a baby bump (and not just fat)! and i have pictures to prove it!
here are all the belly bump photos we've taken so far. the first one makes me sad...i miss my tan :(.
4 weeks 3 days
15 weeks
23 weeks
i think that's about it for now...i'm still in my regular jeans, although the day that isn't an option anymore is quickly approaching so i've been doing some shopping (using the gift cards i got for christmas!). i'm starting to feel the nesting kick in though, and it's overwhelming!! my goal for this month is to 1) clean out eric's office so we can turn it into the baby's room and 2) register for all of the baby stuff we'll need. my good friend jen has already offered to come with me to register so i won't be totally deer in the headlights :).
